RE: HOUSE BILL NO. 1242 REGARDING THE TERMINATION OF HUMAN LIFE - PREBORN CHILDREN, IN THE FIFTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA.

Dear Legislator:

I am sending this open letter coupled with enclosures regarding House Bill 1242 to all North Dakota Legislators.

As you now consider the passage of House Bill 1242 which would  stop the slaughter of all preborn children, please ask yourself the following:  If you were in Savannah, Georgia 150 years ago, would you have sought to regulate the practice of slavery, or to abolish it? 65 years ago, would you have actively opposed the slaughter of the Jewish people in Germany, or would you have kept silent? Are you now going to remain silent regarding the fate of the unborn children slaughtered weekly in the City of Fargo, or will you raise your voice in their defense?

Life does begin at conception: a procured abortion is nothing less than murder and a grievous sin against God’s Commandment Thou Shall Not Kill. Consequently, I earnestly appeal to you to join House Bill 1242’s courageous sponsors, Representative Sally Sandvig (Fargo) and Senator Russell Thane (Wahpeton), by completely and unequivocally assisting and supporting them in the passage of this most crucial human life legislation.

There simply is no room for compromise regarding the slaughter of preborn children.  I can’t help but think that as you legislators debate this issue in the caucus rooms of North Dakota’s State Capitol, preborn children are being slaughtered in an abortuary which is tragically located within the boundaries of our great state! Your assistance is desperately needed and the time is now. Thank you.

With Best Wishes,

Peter B. Crary
